- Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a specialized type of concrete that possesses the ability to flow and compact under its own weight without the need for external vibration or compaction. It is also commonly referred to as self-consolidating concrete. SCC is designed to be highly workable, easily filling and flowing through congested reinforcement and intricate formwork.
- Self compacting concrete which is used in structures wherein congested reinforcement is required.
- This reduces manpower costs and compaction is not required.
